Stephanie Ridley is a London-based BANT- and CNHC-registered Nutritional Therapist with a BSc (Hons) in Nutrition and a Diploma Distinction in Nutritional Therapy.
Nourish to Flourish is a private nutrition consultancy that she set up in 2009 to help clients suffering with chronic illnesses, or with specific health goals, to improve their wellbeing and performance through targeted and personalised nutrition.
Why Nutritional Therapy?
The food we eat influences how well our body functions, resists disease and maintains health. Diet can have both a positive and negative effect, so it is important to make sure you are eating the right foods to support your health.
There is however no 'one size fits all’ perfect diet and trying to figure out what foods your body needs amongst all the fad diets and media reports on superfoods can be challenging, confusing and frustrating.
This is where Nutritional Therapy comes in - Nutritional Therapy applies nutrition science to promote health and wellbeing. Registered Nutritional Therapists consider each person as unique - we assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to a person's symptoms and health concerns.
Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.
I have worked with clients needing support for a vareity of conditions or health goals including:
Digestive (e.g. bloating constipation, diarrhoea, diverticulitis, IBS)
Skin (e.g. eczema, psoriasis, acne, dry skin, anti-ageing)
Heart health (e.g. hypertension, high cholesterol)
Female hormonal imbalance (e.g. PMS, endometriosis, menopause, PCOS)
Blood sugar imbalances, pre-diabetes, diabetes
Mood, mental wellbeing
